Stoeger Police Training Target (Free Printable Shooting Targets)

This is a vintage shooting target from the firearms manufacturer Stoeger. The target is titled “Stoeger Police Training Target”. I am almost certain that this target was introduced in the 1940’s. The description in the image is tough to see, but it reads… “A new target development-created and endorsed thru the cooperation and experience of leading police authorities-to facilitate pistol and revolver marksmanship.”

This was originally a large 35×45″ target, but of course it needed to be shrunken down to be easily printable for the purposes of this site. Still, it’s an awesome target with great, realistic scoring zones. Despite being introduced about 80 years ago, it’s not outdated! I think this Stoeger Police Training Target will serve as a great training tool, as well as make a fresh, fun target for your next range trip! Also, I managed to track down an original order form from Stoeger, that you would have used to order these back in the day! That image also included below. Enjoy!!

Welcome back! I’ve got another vintage shooting target for you guys that I think you’ll really enjoy. A bird shooting target silhouette. It’s another old JC Higgins Target (Sears), featuring a bunch of crows sitting on a fence, waiting to be taken out! This target was designated “Rail Bird Target – Target No. 12”. And don’t worry, because I’ll be uploading all of the old targets I can find. JC Higgins / Sears branded or otherwise. As a fellow shooting enthusiast, I think it’s really important to preserve these vintage shooting targets, since they’re not something you’re going to find commercially. This will be a great target for anyone, but seems to be especially suited as airgun targets or for use with a .22, or something like that. I really hope you guys like these vintage shooting targets. Crow Target Silhouette (Free Printable Targets)

A free printable crow target that features vitals, scoring and so on! Great for the recreational shooter, competition shooter, and even as an airgun target for practicing backyard pest control. This is a target originally sold by Sears, first under the JC Higgins name (that version was a bit different) and later branded as Sears.

In fact, a good number of these targets varied between the Sears and JC Higgins brand names. For example, “Target No. 7” as is shown here, was still a crow, but the JC Higgins version shows the crow in a different position, and with a different target on its body. I’m still tracking down a high-quality copy of the other version, so it will be added here if/when I find one.

Primarily, I’m uploading these old targets here to preserve them so that they’ll never disappear! Enjoy this free printable crow silhouette target! Be safe, and have fun! 🙂

If shooting this IPSC Target Silhouette at 10 yards, it will accurately simulate a full-sized IPSC Target at 30 yards. The accuracy and scalability of this target will prove to be a great training aid with any kind of firearm you wish to use. Be sure you’re printing this target properly. Since it’s precisely measured, make sure you don’t “fit to page” when you print. Depending on your printer, the edges of the page may disappear, but this is preferable to messing up the accurate proportions of the target. At least in my opinion. Enjoy these IPSC targets, as well as our other free printable pistol targets and printable silhouette targets!

Dot Torture Shooting Target Drill (Printable for Free!)

This fan-favorite dot torture drill target is long overdue for posting. Originally designed by David Blinder at personaldefensetraining.com, we got this adapted version from pistol-training.com.

This is an excellent drill target for getting better with a handgun, but of course you can use it how you see fit! There are two variants as shown below. The original, and an alternative “TDA” (Traditional Double-Action) version by Sean Leffler. But you can use a single-action revolver on that version too!

Directions: Shoot the target exactly as the instructions say on the page. Start at 3 yards with no time limit. Your ultimate objective here is to score all 50 hits, as fast as you can, and as far away from the target as you can. Want to really challenge yourself? Make it so that with a single miss, you fail! After each successful 50 hits, either increase distance to the target, or start giving yourself a time limit. This drill will really put your skills as a pistolero to the test! Enjoy our printable pistol targets, as well as the many others we offer!

ALSO: If you appreciate what we do around here, we would greatly appreciate it if you’d consider some pro-gun merch from our friends at BattleMountainArmory on Etsy OR by shopping through our amazon link. This site has had a tough time sustaining itself, and a small amount of financial support from our most loyal users could mean the world of difference!
